Moonlander

A month with the Moonlander # So it has been a month already. Many things have changed since then, the main one being that I learned how to use a keyboard after… IDK… 18 years or something like that? This is going to be an overview of what happened, what I learned and what I still have to do. A quick review of the month # I was at awe when I unpacked the Moonlander.

After last week’s post I have to say that the wrist pain has decreased quite a bit. I’m able to lift some weights an all! However, I have realized something else: Typing correctly is fucking hard # I have never ever taken typing lessons. I learned to use a keyboard on my own when I was a kid and never thought I needed it. I basically only used two or three fingers per hand (aside from the thumbs for the spacebar).

Week 1 report # Sooo it’s been a week since the last Moonlander update and I have some things to say about it. The week started off great, but as the days went by I started to feel like my wrist pain ramped up again, and it went to new hights… It wasn’t what I expected, but after some digging I managed to solve the issue. For context, I suffer some pains on my left wrist whenever I press some key with my pinky so things like pressing and holding Shift or Ctrl were killing me.

Initial thoughts on the Moonlander MK1
Where I came from # So I bought my first split keyboard a couple of weeks ago. The motivation was my growing left wrist pain I had been experiencing over the last few months. Whenever the week ended it hurt to lift any kind of weight or to rotate to certain angles. I started investigating and came upon the concept of an ergonomic keyboard. I have been using a Logitech M525 ergo for 2.
